Step 0 - Last Wash

Before starting the Curly Girl method, do one last wash to get all the bad ingredients out of your hair.
For this, use a sulfate-free, silicone-free shampoo to wash wax and silicone residue out of the hair.

Step 1 – Wash with co-wash/low-poo

From now on, when you have to "wash" your hair, you must use one co-wash (conditioner wash). You must use it instead of shampoo - however, you can alternatively use a sulfate-free shampoo called a low-poo.

It is important that you scrub and massage your scalp for 4-5 minutes to loosen any dirt from the scalp.

Step 2 – Care with conditioner

After washing hair, it's time for moisturizing care conditioner in the hair. While distributing the conditioner in the hair, you can comb/detangle the hair with your fingers.
Leave the conditioner on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing.

The hair is then dried, preferably not with a regular towel, but rather with a cotton T-shirt or a microfiber towel, with which you can squeeze the water out.

Before the next step, styling, it might be a good idea to use one leave in-balm for the extra care.

Step 3 – Styling

You can now style your hair with it gel, curl creme or something else so that the curls come together.

When you have styled your hair, you can advantageously get your hair in a plow. Plopping promotes curl shape and makes it more defined.

Plop = When you have put your hair up in a t-shirt or a microfiber towel. The hair must lie "on top of the head" when folding.

After styling and possibly. plopping, you can choose to air dry her hair, or to dry her hair with a diffuser with cold air.

When your hair is completely dry it will probably be completely stiff by products, this must now be scrunched. You can scrunch cast out of the hair, using your hands, a t-shirt / microfiber towel or an oil.

It is important to first squeeze the cast out of the hair when the hair is completely dry. Read any our blog post "What is Cast?“.
